‘The Golden Bachelorette’ with Joan Vassos: Premiere Details

Joan Vassos is set to find love on the first season of The Golden Bachelorette. Fans of Bachelor Nation met Joan during Gerry Turner’s season of The Golden Bachelor in fall 2023. Although she felt a connection with Gerry, Joan left the show early to support her daughter, who had just given birth.

Months later, producers announced Joan as the lead for the new spinoff series. Speaking to CNN, Joan expressed her excitement and hopes for the show. “There’s a lot of knowledge that we have inside of us because we’ve lived life,” she said. “In our culture, I feel like growing old is not a dignified thing. You’re just supposed to kind of fade in the back, take a backseat to the next generation. I’m hoping that we change that a little bit. We’re still fun and energetic and we know how to use our phones.”

The Golden Bachelorette will premiere on ABC on Wednesday, September 18, at 8 p.m. ET. Viewers can stream episodes on Hulu the following day. ABC revealed the premiere date in July with the teaser, “Ready for Golden Hour?”

Jesse Palmer will return as the host of The Golden Bachelorette. In July, he shared a photo on Instagram of himself and Joan outside the Bachelor mansion, captioning it, “It’s been a busy summer…🌹.”

The contestants for Joan’s season remain a mystery, but anticipation is building.
