The Rise of a Georgian Visionary: How Nino Ekseulidze is Redefining Global Fashion with Mint Atelier and Marigold

In the heart of Tbilisi, where tradition intertwines with innovation, a quiet revolution in fashion has been blooming—one driven by timeless elegance, bold creativity, and visionary leadership. Nino Ekseulidze, an inspiring Georgian designer and creative force, is the name behind this movement. As the Creative Director and Designer at Marigold since 2008 and the co-founder of Mint Atelier, Nino has carved a niche for herself in the global fashion landscape.
Educated at D. Uznadze Physics-Mathematics School and later the Law Faculty of Tbilisi State University, Nino’s academic journey reflects a unique fusion of logic and artistry. Her thirst for knowledge extended to the BDC International Academy, where she refined her creative and business acumen over several years. But it’s her unrelenting spirit and refined aesthetic sense that truly set her apart.
Nino is a proud member of several national and international women’s organizations such as Women Entrepreneurs, Women for the Future, and the Association of Women Leaders. Her career stands as a powerful example of female-led innovation and leadership. With Marigold, she has led the design vision that has earned the brand multiple local and international accolades. Now, she’s preparing for a milestone moment—Marigold’s wedding dress collection will close an upcoming prestigious fashion show in New York, a significant achievement for Georgian fashion on the global stage.
In 2022, Nino launched Mint Atelier alongside co-founder and designer Teo Rtveliashvili, a pre-deporté brand rooted in elegance, individuality, and artistic heritage. Mint Atelier’s designs are known for their exclusive capsule collections that speak to women with a passion for refined, timeless clothing. The label’s unique identity is not only winning hearts in Georgia but also attracting attention globally—with loyal customers in countries such as the United States.
Notably, Mint Atelier has participated in a cross-cultural design initiative with Japan, where kimono fabrics were reimagined into sophisticated modern silhouettes—showcasing Nino’s dedication to both preserving and evolving tradition through fashion. You can explore their distinctive work and follow their creative journey at Mint Atelier’s Facebook page.
Beyond her work as a designer, Nino has been a steadfast presence in beauty and fashion competitions across the region. Serving as both a representative of Marigold and a recurring jury member, she most recently held the role of Chairperson for the Grand Modern Star competition in 2023–2024. Her presence brings credibility, elegance, and visionary taste to every panel she joins.
Nino is also a proud mother to her daughter, Nia, a student who already reflects the same determination and brilliance her mother is known for. Together with her partner, Dimitri Manuel, a producer, she continues to build a life rooted in creativity and ambition.
As Mint Atelier rises on the international stage, Nino Ekseulidze’s story is not just about fashion—it’s about legacy, empowerment, and turning dreams into elegantly tailored reality.
