Rebel Wilson, known for her comedic prowess and candid nature, recently shared a deeply personal revelation about her journey to becoming sexually active. In an interview with People ahead of her memoir’s release, the Pitch Perfect star disclosed that she lost her virginity at the age of 35.

The admission challenges societal norms surrounding the timing of sexual experiences, with Wilson emphasizing that there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. “Not everybody has to lose their virginity as a teenager,” she expressed. “People can wait till they’re ready or wait till they’re a bit more mature.”

Rebel Wilson’s openness aims to alleviate the pressure often felt by young individuals regarding their sexual experiences. Reflecting on her own teenage years, she recalled feeling embarrassed and pressured by societal expectations. By normalizing the idea of becoming sexually active later in life, Wilson hopes others won’t face the same sense of shame.

The actor’s journey also touches upon the evolving landscape of acceptance around sexual orientation. Wilson hinted at her own fluidity, stating, “to me, it doesn’t matter about the gender, it just matters about the person.” This sentiment aligns with her engagement to designer Ramona Agruma, whom she has been engaged to since February 2023.

Wilson’s story serves as a reminder that everyone’s journey is unique and valid, regardless of societal timelines. By sharing her experience, she encourages others to embrace their own paths without succumbing to external pressures. As she eloquently puts it, “You shouldn’t feel pressure as a young person.”
